Holytown Linked With New Stevenston: Wrangholm Kirk Our Sole Nominee - Mrs Caryl Kyle
It is with great delight that the Nominating Committee charged with looking for a Sole Nominee in our vacancy, present to the congregation Mrs Caryl Kyle.
Mrs Kyle was unanimously appointed Sole Nominee by our Nominating Committee who met on Sunday 24 August. The Committee members are convinced that she brings the gifts and vision that we need in our congregations at this time. Her warmth, her ability to put people at their ease, her sensitivity, her bridge-building skills, her enthusiasm, her gifts of communication and listening, her leading of worship, her ability to relate to children and her experience impressed the committee enormously.
Before her call to ministry in the Church of Scotland, Mrs Kyle was a Primary School teacher and she undoubtedly has a gift with children and a very good way of communicating with them.
Since beginning her studies for the ministry, she has had placements in a variety of parish churches in different communities, including a linked charge, and has also been involved in hospital chaplaincy. Her probationary period has been served in Uddingston: Viewpark Church. In her own congregation before starting studying for the ministry she had been a Sunday School leader, an elder, a Boys' Brigade Officer, a Girls' Brigade Officer and was involved also in a Young Woman's Group, a Holiday Club, a 'Good News Bus' Outreach and a ;Traidcraft' fair trade initiative. . We are confident that Mrs Caryl Kyle is the right person for 'Holytown linked with New Stevenston: Wrangholm Kirk' and we encourage you to come to the service at which she will preach for the vacancy. This is a day which begins a new chapter in the life and work of Holytown Church and Wrangholm Kirk and we invite you to be a part of it!
Please note:
Mrs Caryl Kyle preaches as Sole Nominee on Sunday 14th September: 10.00 am Holytown Parish Church. 11.30 am Wrangholm Kirk
After each service a vote will be taken by secret ballot.
