The Guild

The new Session of the Guild begins on Wednesday 8th October at 7.15 pm in the Senior Citizens' Centre, Main Street, Holytown. You will be assured of a warm welcome. The programme for the first few weeks is:

October 8 - Opening Night: Mr S McNeil
October 15 - Mr W Burns - Recycling
October 22 - Opening Social: Mr A Knox and Party
October 29 -Bible Society: Mr John Morris

The Re-dedication Service will be on Sunday 12th October at 10.00 am in the Church.

November begins with a Cake and Candy Sale on the 5th.

A word of thanks

I would like to thank the congregation for the flowers which I received on Sunday 31st August. The flowers are beautiful and very much appreciated. Thank you again.

Our new minister

At this time, we are not aware of arrangements for the induction of our new minister but after waiting for about 5 years, another couple of weeks shouldn't make a great difference.

It shouldn't really be necessary but can I remind everyone that it is the duty of each and every one of us to welcome Caryl and her husband to this charge and to support her in every way that we can as she carries out the myriad of duties and demands that ministry brings.

Include her in your prayers asking the Lord to guide her in everything she does. Be patient with her in the time it takes her to get to know all our names and all the traditions associated with this Church. Work with her when she needs you and respect her personal time on the days when she is not involved in Church activities.

Give thanks to the Lord that he has called Caryl to this Church and pray also for all the charges that continue to be vacant for extended periods that the Lord may also call ministers to these places of worship.
