Please note that beginning on Sunday 18th November the Morning Service will begin at 10.00 am.
Remembrance Sunday
The Remembrance Day service will be held on Sunday 11th November at 10.30 am. The Boys' and Girls' Brigade Companies will parade to this service.
Communion services
Please note that the next Communion Services will be on Sunday 2nd December at 10.00 am and 6.30 pm.
Donation day
At a recent meeting of the Congregational Board it was decided that we shall have a Donation Day on Friday 9th December The times will be from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 4.00 pin to 7.00 pm. We do hope that you will come personally to the Vestry and hand in your donations. It is good to see you on an informal basis. Envelopes will be issued shortly.
COSY groups
The next meetings of our COSY Groups will be as follows:
- Thursday 8th November at 7.00 pm in Holytown Church
- Thursday 6th December at 7.00 pm in Wrangholm Kirk
Interim ministry monitoring group
This important meeting of both congregations will take place on Thursday 29th November 2007 at 7.30 pm in Holytown Church.
The Boys' Brigade and the Girls’ Brigade
At the last meeting of the Congregational Board held in September, it was agreed that a grant of £300 each should be given this year to the Boys' Brigade and the Girls' Brigade to help defray the cost of running our youth organisations.
It was also agreed that both Companies be given permission in consultation with the Building Group to replace the equipment and materials lost when the hall went on fire. The cost of this equipment would, of course, be met from the Insurance money we have received for the contents that were destroyed. We are delighted that both the BB and the GB have decided to purchase laptop computers that allow greater flexibility, easier administration, and do away with the paper records so easily destroyed.
Hopefully it won't be long before the new hall is completed and the organisations can return.
