Website
Whenever I meet folks from other churches, they regularly compliment us on our website. If you have not yet seen it, please ask one of your friends with internet access to let you have a look at it.
It's been a wee while since the content of our website has been updated other than the inclusion of each new edition of the magazine. If there are any changes you would like to see or any ways you think could make it even better, please let me know.
Attendance
When Colin Sutherland was interim moderator, you may recall him saying that when he was leading worship and looking out towards the congregation, it was really nice when not so much wood was visible. He meant that it was great to see faces rather than empty pews.
It has been really encouraging recently with more folks coming along to Sunday morning worship. There's something special about worshipping in a busy Church that is particularly uplifting. This may be due to the increased volume when singing items of praise or indeed the simple increase in Christian fellowship that is experienced by all present. Whatever the reason, it surely is a good feeling and we pray that this trend will continue.
Although it really shouldn't be necessary, could I remind everyone that it is the responsibility of each and every one of us to be welcoming to any new faces that join with us in worship or indeed any old faces returning that haven't been around for some time.
Similar fellowship albeit on a smaller scale can be experienced at our end of the month Evening Celebration. The service at the end of September was really effective when an alternative format of worship was tried out. Aural and visual images were used to emphasise the peace God has given us through his creation which was the theme for that particular evening. Everyone present enjoyed this service and it would be really great if more of you could make it along to these services. They also provide the opportunity for learning some of the less familiar hymns in Ch4. If more of us learn these songs of praise at evening worship, it will help raise the volume when they are introduced at morning worship.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at the next one.
