Resignation of Presbytery Elder
It was with sincere regret that the Kirk Session accepted the resignation of Ian Bell from the position of Presbytery Elder. Apart from a very brief interlude Ian has been representing us at Presbytery for around twenty-five years. This has not merely meant attending Presbytery meetings but also being involved in Presbytery committee work as well.
Ian has been a most worthy representative of our congregation and has been very faithful in his attendance at meetings and committee commitments. He has also been an excellent adviser to us as a congregation during the difficult and trying times we experienced. We thank Ian most sincerely for his devotion to duty. We are sure that he will be glad to offer advice and assistance to his successor when appointed.
The Girls' Brigade
The AGM of Motherwell Division Girls' Brigade will be on Monday 11th May at 7 pm in Holytown Parish Church Hall. Everyone is welcome to join us on this night.
Our Company has done very well this Session in Divisional Competitions and we're looking forward to being presented with the trophies along with Leadership and Officer Training Certificates. The speaker will be Mrs Flora Seaton (probably better remembered as Flora Kyles), a former member of our Company.
Our Parents' and Awards' Evening will be held in the Hall on Wednesday 20th May at 7 pm. We look forward to welcoming you at this event.
