Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people become friends and stay awhile … Leaving beautiful footprints on our hearts … And we are never quite the same because we have made a good friend!!
For the tots
Do you enjoy painting? Maybe you have a book for colouring in and also a set of coloured pencils. The pictures you colour in will be pretty and bright but they will not be as good as the colours you see all around you when you are outside. God has made many very attractive pictures for us to see. At the moment the little specks or the green leaves on the trees look very fresh and the tulips and daffodils in the gardens look beautiful. God paid a lot of attention to making the trees and the flowers lovely to look at but he paid much more attention to you. Just say a little 'thank you' to God for all his care for you.
For the teens
Have you ever thought about how much freedom you have when compared with those living in other parts of the world? Many men and women and young people live in fear of their lives. If they do not believe in what the majority of people around them believe they will be persecuted in the hope that they will change their beliefs.
If you were faced with real difficulties here in Scotland, what would be your reaction? Would you meekly say that you will conform? Would you say you will not scare me into doing something which I believe to be wrong?
Our freedom to go to church Sunday by Sunday and to worship as we do was gained for us by the efforts of ordinary people just like us in a long gone generation who were put into prison and some of whom were put to death because of their beliefs. Will we be ready to preserve that hard-earned freedom or will we be willing to throw it all away? Only you can answer that question. If you have not been to church for a while, why don't you give it a try? You will be very welcome. We look forward to seeing you.

The company would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their generous donations and support over the past session.
As the session comes to a close we are already looking forward to the start of the coming session in August when we will start the celebrations of our 70th Anniversary as a Company and also to being host to Motherwell Division's Spring Church Service and AGM in 2009.
We look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday 21st.
Thank you

We do not understand:
Joy … until we face sorrow faith ... until it is tested peace ... until faced with conflict trust ... until we are betrayed love ... until it is lost hope ... until confronted with doubts.
The following comments were written in the 17th Century by Francois de Salle but could well have been written in the 21st Century.
"We are so busy that we need a listening space. The busier we are, the more we need it. Half an hour listening to God each day is essential, except when you are busy, and then a full hour is needed."
