Good Friday service
Our annual Good Friday Service will be held this year in Wrangholm Kirk on Friday 21st March at 7.30 pm. This is a shared service between the two congregations and a very warm welcome is given to everyone.
Spring Fayre
We now have a date for the Spring Fayre - Saturday 17th May from 12.00 noon to 3.00 pm. We hope to have the usual stalls ie tea room, cake and candy, groceries, fancy goods, tuck shop, hot dogs, books and videos, bring and buy, games and bouncy castle.
On the Committee are Linda Baillie, Bill Jenkins, lan Houston and Isa Hinshelwood. We will keep you informed of our progress and we trust you will help us to make it a success. Isa Hinshelwood
The Girls' Brigade
In the past month, girls from all the sections have participated in various competitions. Six of our Brigaders took part in an Inter - DivisionaI Bowling Competition - Emma Baillie, Kirsty Shaw, Jacqueline McKendrick, Caitlin McNally, Rachel Wallace and Abigail Grover. Girls from all over Lanarkshire took part in this competition and our girls were awarded 4th place.
The Explorers had a "Teddy Bears Olympics" in which four Explorers had to "help" their teddies in various games. We competed against seven other companies from Motherwell Division and we're happy to report that Morgan McKenzie, Amy Pearson, Paige Allan and Elizabeth Stubbs were Runners-Up, only being beaten into second place by two points. Well done, girls.
Jodie Barr, Antonia Molloy, Meghan Cunningham and Clair- Louise Robertson from our Junior Section took part in the Motherwell Division Junior Potted Sports. Although we weren't placed, the girls did very well.
Congratulations to all the girls.
