Motherwell Divisional Competitions
The Junior Potted Sports Competition Winners were: Lauryn McCall, Taylor Beattie, Jodie Barr and Abbie McAteer.
Junior 2 Section Craft Competition Winners were: Jodie Barr and Abbie McAteer
Brigader 1 Section Crafts winners were: Amy McGhee and Julia McKendrick
Brigader 2 Section Crafts Runners Up were: Abigail Grover and Kirsty Shaw
The Brigader Singles Badminton Competition winner was: Jacqueline McKendrick
The Company also won the Motherwell Division Centenary Trophy. The Centenary Trophy is awarded to the Company who gains the most points in the Divisional Competitions. This session the trophy is shared by two Companies, 5th Motherwell and 1st Holytown. Well done to all the girls who took part in the competitions.
National Competition Certificates
The National Bible Competition 3rd place went to: Danielle Mitchell, Taylor Beattie and Julia McKendrick
The National Mar and Kellie Competition runners up were: Jacqueline McKendrick, Kirsty Shaw and Emma Baillie
Bible Knowledge Trophies
This year the Explorers looked at the stories from the Bible about food. The runner up in the Explorer Section is Morgan McKenzie and the winner of the Explorer Milton Trophy for Bible Knowledge is Codee Hillen.
The Junior 1 Section studied the feeding of the 5000. The runner up in the Junior 1 Section is Meghan Cunningham and the winner of the May Murning Trophy for Bible Knowledge is Taylor Beattie.
The Junior 2 Section learned about Esther. The Runner up in the Junior 2 Section is Abbie McAteer and the winner of the Deveron Trophy for Bible Knowledge is Jodie Barr.
The Brigaders studied the Gospel of John. The runner up in the Brigader Section is Abigail Grover and the winner of the Alexander Burt Trophy for Bible Knowledge is Julia McKendrick.
Abigail Grover received 99% and Julia McKendrick received 100% in their Brigade Knowledge Exam.
Leadership 1 and first Chevrons go to Kirsty Shaw, Abigail Grover, Caitlin McNally and Rachel Wallace.
Warrant Officer promotions go to Emma Baillie and Jacqueline McKendrick.
Basic Officer Certificate was gained by Mrs Isobel McNally.
Friend of the Company badges go to Mrs Nan McGlone and Mr Jim Smith.
I've been asked by the Associates to intimate that they're looking for new members for their group. The Associates are a group of former GB Officers and girls who meet 3 or 4 times a year for a chat and the occasional night out. The next meeting is in October in Dalziel St Andrew's Church. It really would be a shame if this group had to fold because of lack of support so if anyone is interested then please contact me.
Well done to all the girls on their achievements this session. The Company will start the new session on Wednesday 19th August at the normal times. Our thanks to everyone who supported us this session.
