parish news
News from our COSY groupsOur COSY Support Group has come up with two ideas, which we will begin in the New Year. One will take place in Holytown and one in Wrangholm, but the invitation goes out to both congregations for both of these things:
Meeting for PrayerWrangholm Kirk Session RoomFirst and Third Wednesday of each month7.00 pm
This is a time for worship, quiet and prayer. The emphasis is likely on silence rather than words and it will be a very relaxed opportunity to meet together.
Monthly Evening WorshipHolytown ChurchLast Sunday of each month6.30 pm
This will be an informal service arranged by a team of people including the minister. We will meet in the first instance in the church but move to the hall when it is opened.Bereavement memorial serviceThe COSY Care Group and Bereavement Care Group are organising this special service.Although it is being held on this occasion in Wrangholm Kirk, it is a service for people of both communities. It will be on
Sunday 20th January3.00 pmWrangholm Kirk
The service is open to everyone although we will be sending invitations to those who have lost loved ones in the last year. The purpose of the service is to allow people the opportunity of remembering loved ones who have died. It will provide a quiet and peaceful way of remembering and reflecting along with others who have been through similar times. The service will last about 30-40 minutes and will be followed by tea or coffee in Wrangholm Kirk Session Room. The GuildWe hope that all the members of the Guild have had a very happy Christmas Season.
