I hope that you have all had a wonderful time at Christmas. At the beginning of the year some people make New Year Resolutions and then remember about these resolutions for a few days and then forget all about them. We do not need to make New Year Resolutions if we are always nice to other people whom meet at home, in school or nursery school and when we are in the shops. Think about it - are you always nice to the people you meet?

For the teens

Water into Wine

Among the guests at Cana's feast,
The wine flowed free and red;
Until, quite suddenly it ceased -
"How sad," was what they said.

Now, three days had elapsed since John
The Baptist, bold and free,
Had introduced the Lamb Who on
The cross was slain for me.

With twelve disciples Jesus came
To grace the party fair,
What wedding scenes! Undying fame!
His mother, too, was there.

"They have no wine," poor Mary sighed;
This feast would be a flop;
And to her Saviour-Son she cried,
For no-one owned a shop.

"Here, what have I to do with thee?"
The question might have shocked:
But Mary did not make a plea,
She to the servants talked.

"Whate'er He says to thee, that do, I"
Was Mary's sound advice.
So Jesus' finger pointed to
Six jars of equal size.

"Fill up those jars with water pure.
Commanding, was the voice.
The servants were not quite so sure,
But had no other choice.

"Give to the ruler every jar."
Those puzzled servants bring.
"This is the finest wine by far,
How did you do this thing?"

"Good wine comes always at the start
Of wedding feasts, you know;
But here, the best wine, bless your heart
Comes when supplies are low!"

This miracle was done to prove
To His disciples fine,
The marvel of His power and love
Plain water into wine.

The same Lord can in modern days,
If you will Him allow,
Come in and sup with you, He says,
O why not let Him now.
