January 2006
To :- The Congregation of Holytown.
I trust that you all had a very enjoyable time over the Christmas holidays and that with the coming of the New Year you are looking forward to what 2006 holds for you personally and as a Church.
This is a time when it is always good to look back at the year which as just ended and think of all the positive things that have happened during the year. Above all it is a time for us to look forward with faith and hope and belief that this year will be even better than the last.
The Presbytery having approved to the appointment of an Interim Minister is a very positive step in the right direction for the Church. Perhaps at long last there is real light at the end of the tunnel with a view to a real and permanent appointment in the not too distant future.
Let us pray that this step forward will see us on the road to bringing about a very satisfactory end to what has been a long and at times difficult period in the history of the Church.
May God richly bless you all at the start of this New Year.
